Based on Roald Dahl’s beloved classic, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a magical stage experience that features original music by Marc Shaiman and lyrics by Shaiman & Scott Wittman—renowned for their work on Hairspray—as well as iconic songs from the 1971 film, including “The Candy Man,” “I've Got a Golden Ticket,” and “Pure Imagination.” After delighting audiences with over 300 performances on Broadway and a celebrated West End run, the latest touring production has been newly reimagined by Broadway International Group, featuring an award-winning creative team: scenic and costume design by Olivier Award-winner Mark Thompson and Christine Peters, dazzling projections and illusions by Jeff Sugg (Drama Desk, Lortel, Obie Awards), enchanting puppetry by master artist Basil Twist, and direction by Tony Award-winner Jack O’Brien with touring direction by Matt Lenz.

When five lucky children find golden tickets, they enter Willy Wonka’s mysterious chocolate factory—a world of chocolate waterfalls, nut-sorting squirrels, glass elevators, and wild surprises. But not everything is sweet: the factory hides secrets, and only those with true character will make it through.
